Description - Scope : Kpep is a 485MW hydro power project. It is planned on Katsina-Ala river/basin in Northwest, Cameroon. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. The project construction is likely to commence in 202 2 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2025. The project is being developed by Eneo Cameroon, Joule Africa and The Republic of Cameroon. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.The project cost is expected to be around $1,500m.Development Status : The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
