Description - Description: The dam was built - 1915-1916. In 1959, production of electric power was discontinued. 1989 - Saltdal municipality took over the dam with the associated wiring for municipal water supply to Vensmoen. Closed in 2008. The dam is no longer in operation. Dam - failure consequence class 2, does not meet today's safety requirements. Significant seams have been detected under the downstream wall. The reason is unknown. Following an order from NVE, measures must be established to permanently secure the dam against dam failure. The existing dam construction is 11.5 m high and 37 m long. Width at the top is approx. 2.2 m. Drywall pond with frontal sealing in reinforced concrete. Cast iron
