Description - Description: The city of Lokeren is providing for the construction of a walking jetty along the Durme, between the Grote Kaai public car park and the city center (Markt). This involves the construction of a fixed scaffolding that is founded on steel tubular piles that are placed approximately every 10 m. These are placed near an existing quay wall. The existing quay wall remains independent in the design, as required by the Vlaamse Waterweg, manager of the Durme. A wooden walking platform is made of FSC hardwood on this construction.
